Auto manufacturer Skoda Auto, part of Volkswagen Group, plans to launch five new cars in India till 2010. The new launches will be in the segments of multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and the sports utility vehicle (SUV) where currently Skoda has no presence.
Skoda will launch the compact car that will debut next year. The compact car will come in the price range of 3 lacs to 5 lacs and will be launched in India prior to the global launch. Skoda also plans to bring MPV Roomster to India by 2009. In 2009 Skoda launches the new Laura, Octavia and Fabia Combi. In 2010, they plan to launch an SUV.
Skoda currently sells its superhatch Fabia and sedans Octavia, Laura and Superb in India.
