Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India will inaugurate the 3rd Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicle Expo ‘EV-EXPO on 23rd Dec, 2016 at 10.00 am, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
“This 3rd EV-Expo 2016 holds special significance particularly because this Expo is the only Expo dedicated to Electric Vehicle industry in India specially at a time when Govt. is all out to promote E-Rickshaws & E-Carts to provide “End mile connectivity and ‘environment friendly’ transport solutions in order to boost passenger safety, convenience and in making India a pollution free country.” Said Mr Rajiv Arora, Founder Member Electric Rickshaw Manufacturers Association & Organizer EV-Expo”
“Keeping in view of the important role that E-Vehicles could play in environment friendly city transportation system, this EV-Expo is in line with Govt.’s objective to replace 7.5 crore Paddle Rickshaw into E Rickshaw by 2020 & to make India a 100% Electric Vehicle Nation by 2030.” said Mr Anuj Sharma, Chairman, E-Rickshaw Committee, Ministry of Road Transport & Highway.

This year a very significant one day Conference on Policy Matters, Technology Innovations & Developments “Transforming E-Vehicles Industry” is being organized on 22nd Dec, 2016 a day prior to the opening of EV-Expo to discuss & look into the issues, recommendations & growth prospects of the E-Vehicle industry in presence of Government officials [Centre / State] from Ministries of transport, Urban Development ,MSME, New & Renewable Energy, Power, Skill Development, Urban Development, Railways, industries, Defense , Environment and Science & Technology, Road research institutes, Banks/ Private Equity/ Micro Credit Financial institutions leading to transport vehicles operators, SME’s Individuals & Manufacturer’s of All modes of E-vehicles.
The three-day international exposition to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from December 23rd to 25th December, 2015 will showcase the latest technological advancements in environment friendly electric 2/3/4 wheeler vehicles, component, services and products for the transportation of passengers and goods.
