Speaking of small compact SUVs in India, Renault is also set to launch their Duster – a small compact SUV that will start its pricing at Rs 7 Lakh. Yes that’s right, its only 7 lakhs, this kind of competitive pricing is what companies need to be looking at if they want to grab a large chunk of that elusive small SUV segment. The Duster is a very capable machine, it might not have the features, but it looks good, is not low like the Yeti and more importanbtly, it’s a Renault which means it will be a very capable car. Renault is definitely doing the right thing by bringing in the car for the Indian enthusiast. The car is expected to be launched in mid 2012 and we are sure that if they price it the way we think they will, they might just get the attention they are so desperately looking for.
