Renault India has launched the Renault Kwid 1.0-litre engine with higher RxT and RxT (O) variants at priced Rs. 3,82,776 and Rs. 3,95,776 (ex-showroom Delhi). This 1.0L engine will compete against the market leader Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Hyundai Eon and the Tata Tiago petrol entry-level models.
Kwid 1.0-litre engine technical specification:
The Renault Kwid 1.0-litre variant is around Rs. 22,000 more expensive than the existing Kwid 0.8 RxT variant. The new variant is powered by 999 cc 3-cylinder SCe engine that generates 68 PS of power 5500rpm and and 91 Nm of torque at 4250rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. While an AMT variant launch is around the corner. The Kwid 1.0-litre engine claimed to deliver a best-in-class average fuel efficiency of 23.01 km/L.
