Amidst speculations of the new Ambassador being a sleek and stylish car, it has been learnt that before unveiling the personal car variant, Hindustan Motors will be launching two commercial variants; a commercial pick-up vehicle and a commercial passenger vehicle with the ability to carry and seat more than seven people. According to officials, the pick-up vehicle will be a flat-bed one i.e., the cargo bed will be placed above the wheels to ensure effective utilization of space.
The personal car variant will get a complete makeover in terms of the retro-look exterior and revamped interiors, said Mr. Manoj Jha, Managing Director for Hindustan Motors. The reports tell us that the car variant will flaunt an aerodynamic design, a new bonnet and boot, wrap-around headlamps and integrated tail lights. Mr. Jha had revealed in October 2010 that the new ambassador personal car will feature a fuel-efficient engine and will reach markets by the end of year 2011.
