    Mercedes-Benz X-Class Pick-Up Truck

Mercedes-Benz has made a nine figure investment to develop an all new pick-up truck called the X-Class. The investment and the statements from Mercedes assure that the car will go into production next year. The highly awaited German luxury pick-up track has finally been revealed. Mercedes has revealed the concept X-Class in two variations. The first is the Concept X-Class ‘stylish explorer’ which features a cool metallic white painted exterior. The only job for this concept is to be “Cool”, which is what its design philosophy is actually called.

The front of the truck features a more accentuated grille with the three-pointed-star right in the middle, which looks more like the ones found on the AMG GT, with only a single slat. The bonnet has massive power bulge and a more chiseled and swept back headlamp which is completely different from any other Mercedes in the current line-up. Mercedes have not as yet revealed engine details of the car, but has confirmed that the top of the range will a V6 diesel engine and the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive and combine an electronic traction system, a transfer case with reduction gear, and two differential locks.

The major target markets for the truck will be Europe, South Africa, and Australia, for which the truck will be manufactured at the Nissan plant in Barcelona, Spain, in 2017. For the Latin American market, the Renault Plant in Cordoba, Argentina will start manufacturing the vehicle in 2018.
