German automaker Mercedes-Benz on September 8th, 2011, launched the all new CLS 350 four door coupe in India. Introduced at Rs. 67,67,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) the car boasts of unparalled exclusivity, sportiness and remarkable design. The car is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine which churns 306 hp@ 6500 rpm of power and 370 Nm @ 3500-5250 rpm torque. The engine is mated to a seven speed automatic transmission.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Debashis Mitra, Director Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India was of the opinion that the new CLS 350 is a new benchmark in the premium coupe segment both in terms of practicality and performance as well as design and sophistication.
The car pioneers many noteworthy features such as ‘Electromechanical Direct-Steer System’ which enables integration with the innovative “Active Parking Assist” system and provides additional safety to the driver. Equipped with reversing cameras, the technology enables the driver with information for the most suitable parking space.
The BlueEfficiency technology used in the car makes it the first vehicle from Mercedes-Benz to have frameless all-aluminium doors. The CLS 350 is also equipped with AIRMATIC Suspension which enables the driver to alter the vehicle’s characteristic in a broad range, extending from comfortable to sporty handling.
