    Maruti Suzuki India launches new Alto 800 on October 16, 2012

    Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has introduced its much hyped and awaited new Maruti Alto 800 on October 16, 2012 at an entry level price of Rs 2,44,000 and Rs 3,56,000 for the top model. The new car model has been launched with both petrol and CNG options to attract customers and boost sales during the current circumstances of sluggish market conditions.

    The entry level petrol version of the Alto 800 is priced at Rs 2,44,000 while the top petrol model is priced at Rs 2,99,000. The CNG version of the new car is priced at Rs 3,19,000 – Rs 3,56,000. While the petrol version offers a mileage of 22.74 kilometers per liter, the CNG version offers a mileage of 30.46 kilometers per kilogram of CNG.

    Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi Managing Director and CEO Maruti Suzuki India commented on the launch of the new car that the 10,000 bookings have been received before the launch date of October 16, 2012. The bookings for the Alto 800 had been opened since the end of September 2012.
