The Celerio is the successful model by Maruti Suzuki India is now planning for Maruti Celerio Diesel engine by early next year. Company is currently being tested the diesel engine across the country and the expected priced between Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 5.75 lakh.
Maruti Celerio Diesel technical
According to the media reports it will not sourced by Fiat 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine. It will come with 0.8-litre Maruti developed diesel engine that will also power MSI’s Y9T LCV. The addition of the diesel engine is sure to make the car even more popular. The engine is expected in 0.8-litre, 2-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine to give power between 45 to 50 PS and torque between 120 Nm to 130 Nm
Currently Maruti Celerio is available in Petrol and CNG fuel option with both Manual and AMT transmission. The Celerio is the first car in India launched with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), but according to media source the AMT transmission will not be in upcoming Celerio Diesel.
Maruti Celerio Petrol
Maruti Celerio was launched at priced Rs. 3.90 lakh and but now it is available at starting price Rs. 3.76 lakh. It has 998cc, 3-cylinder, K10B petrol engine delivers 67bhp of power @ 6,000rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. It is available in six choices of variants in the country – four with manual transmission and two with AMT transmission with 23.1 kmpl fuel efficiency for both.
Maruti Celerio CNG:
CNG Celerio Green for at Rs. 4.68 lakh in ex-showroom, Delhi with the same 1.0 liter K series petrol engine, which generates 68 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of maximum torque at 3,500 rpm.
