Volvo Buses today announced an extension of the last date of submissions for the Volvo Sustainability Mobility award. The last date for submission of entries will now be September 10, 2011. The revised date of registration of entries is now September 2, 2011.
Volvo Buses had announced the Volvo Sustainable Mobility Award and invited entries from from groups, organizations, institutes and individuals who are working towards creating ‘innovative solutions’ in the broad area of supporting sustainable urban transport. The award is Volvo Buses’ effort to identify initiatives that can influence/ are influencing improvements in city transport systems and support the cause. The winner will receive a cash award of 700,000INR and runnersup 300,000INR.
The scoring for nominations will be done broadly on the basis of the following criteria:
• Innovativeness of the idea
• Practical implementation or level of engagement with society
• Achievement or potential impact of the initiative
