As a part of its expansion plans in India, Jaguar Land Rover on June 26th, 2011, opened a new dealership in Kolkata, West Bengal (India). The dealership will handle the company’s business in the Eastern part of India and will improve access to customers from West Bengal apart from providing a premium standard of sales, servicing and after sales.
The dealership will offer the full range of Jaguar products such as both the petrol and diesel variants of XJ and XF, XFR and the XKR coupe and convertible. For Land Rover, the dealership will offer the Freelander 2, Discovery 4 and the Range Rover Sport.
Mr. Rohit Suri, Head, Premier Car Division, Tata Motors, stated that Kolkata was one of the key growth markets for luxury cars in India and therefore the company wanted to be present in that region to cater to the demand of their “sought after Jaguar and Land Rover products.”
