The Indian Polo Team sponsored by DHL played its first match against New Zealand at the Kihikihi Polo Club in New Zealand today. New Zealand feilded a 15 goal team against the 13 goal team of India.Being a test match no handicap was given and the game started with goals level.
Thw indian team had a fantastic 1st chukker and scored 4 goals without any from the hosts. India was up 4-0 after the first chukker. The second chukker was more feircely contested andd New Zealand came back strongly by scoring 2 goals and reducing the margin to 4-2.
in the 3rd chukker both teams scored 2 goals each and the chukker finished 6-4. In the fourth chukker India scored 1 and New Zealand also got 1 thus making the score 7-5 at the end of the 4th chukker.
In the fifth and final chukker India cored early making the score 8-5 but New Zealand scored twice before the end of the chukker to make the final score 8-7 in favour of India.
