Hyundai India launches the new top-end variant Hyundai Verna SX (O) to tackle the recently launched new Honda City 2014. Hyundai game plan to catch its mid-size segment Verna sales with this launch to added features in SX (O) and plans to add more variants in its diesel line-up.
The new Honda City 2014 was displayed on 25-November, 2013 and it has registered more than 9,000 bookings within weeks of its launch, in the same segment Hyundai Verna sells about 4,100 units in a month. The previous version of Honda City had slipped on third position to sale 1,800 units in a month.
Hyundai Verna SX (O) Features:
So Hyundai has cleverly added a new top-end variant called SX (O) with Verna. This SX (O) variant has been equipped with features like projector headlamp, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, illuminated power window switches and safety escort headlamps. Apart from this SX (O) variant company going to add the CX variant also in next few days with its 1.4 –litre diesel engine line-up of Verna, and it will be between the existing EX and SX variants.
The new CX variant will be features like electro-chromatic mirror, rear parking camera with parking sensors, 2 DIN audio with bluetooth and steering controls, fully automatic temperature control, electrically adjustable and foldable outside mirror with turn indicators, anti-lock braking system and driver-side airbag.
