After the Honda City success the Honda Car India is going to launch the Mobilio MPV in India by July 2014. It has been already displayed in Auto Expo 2014 and it will directly compete against the Toyota Innova, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Mahindra Quanto.
The Mobilio will be integrated with the same Honda City 1.5-litre iDtec diesel engine with 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The petrol engine of Honda Mobilio will be 1.5-litre i-VTEC that generates 118 bhp of power and 145 Nm of maximum torque. The diesel engine should pay positive role to gain its popularity and sales in Indian market. Honda may also offer the CVT automatic transmission as an option.
The Honda Mobilio will most likely be the starting priced at Rs 6.5 lakh for the base variant and go on about Rs. 9.50 lakh for the top end variant. The car is most likely to come out from its production plant Tapukara in Distt. Alwar, Rajasthan.
