Honda Motorcycle Scooters India (HMSI) is developing a 100-cc motorcycle to be launched in the 2012-2013 financial year. The motorcycle will be priced between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000.
HMSI’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Mr. N K Rattan, stated that the 100-cc bike will be showcased at the Auto Expo in January 2012 and will be launched in the 2012-2013 fiscal. As per the reports, the bike is currently being developed at the company’s R&D centre in Japan. The company is also planning to a launch a scooter by the end of the financial year 2011-2012.
Apart from launching new auto products, the company is increasing its dealership network across the country and is also ramping up its production capacity at its Rajasthan plant. The company aims to produce 12,00,000 motorbikes from the plant by March 2012.
