Yes, it’s that time of year again when every major car manufacturer in the world gets together under one roof in the city of Paris. The Motor Show at Paris is notably known as the most important motor show, as it is one of the platforms where manufacturers showcase their newest designs and prototypes which will soon be available. Because the motor show is held in Paris – a city most known for design and style – the products and prototypes that will be on display will be no different from the theme of elegance and design. So here is a quick list of some major attractions that will hit the Paris Motor Show 2012 between 29th of September and 14th October.
Ferrari – The Italian supercar maker is going to showcase the F12 Berlinetta, which is without a doubt one of the most exciting looking Ferrari’s we have ever seen. Its powerful handcrafted engine will pump out 730bhp and is slated to be the fastest road-going Ferrari till date – and don’t forget it looks pretty good to.
Jaguar Land Rover – It has been more the 40 years and the original Range Rover has just gone under knife only 3 times. Well now the 4th generation Range Rover will be showcased at Paris and many people are waiting to see what has been changed from its already iconic design. Aside from the Range Rover, Jaguar will also have a car that has been highly anticipated on show, and it is none other than the F-type. The F-type is meant to be more compact and more sporty than the XK Coupe, while also being cheaper, but that’s not a word we like to hear when it comes to Jaguar, because from what we already know, the F type is sure to blow you away.
Dodge Viper – The Viper went on a 2 year break from production only to come back this year looking better than ever. The all new SRT Viper will be showcased in its flesh, and this is one car everyone would want to check out.
Mini – The sub-brand of BMW, this iconic car maker will also showcase something that everyone is looking forward to, and more so their die hard occult fans are already dying to see it. It is none other than the Mini John Cooper Works GP. Said to be the fastest Mini ever, this car will definitely be one of the stars at the show.
Maserati – This car maker is probably the most quite about its plans but they have revealed to showcase a prototype that will open up new frontiers of performance, elegance and style. Could it be the much hyped GranSport?
McLaren – This is probably the most talked about super launch and the most anticipating release from any other car maker. Just after launching two new models this year the legendary British car manufacturer is planning to showcase a mystery new model. Nothing has been heard yet but it will most likely be a concept or a one-off model.
While these cars may be the most exciting cars to look forward to there are many other cars that will surely grab much attention. Lexus is planning on showcasing a concept car, while Mitsubishi will showcase their new Outlander and Mazda will launch the much awaited Mazda6. There will be many surprises in store for us as well.
