    Ford Mustang India confirm launch date on 13, July

    Ford will be launched the pony car Mustang in India on 13 July at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. The Ford Mustang debuted in India at the 2016 Auto Expo and promised to launch in the country soon. Company offers the Mustang with a handful engine and body-type options in international markets, but in India the Ford Mustang will be available only in the Fastback version and there is no news of Convertible Mustang launch. It will be available in 5.0-litre engine and expected a price tag of nearly Rs. 60 to Rs. 65 lakh (ex-showroom) as Completely Built Unit (CBU).

    Internationally the Mustang is available with three engine options – 306bhp, 2.3-litre, 4-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged petrol, 296bhp, 3.7-litre V6 and 429bhp, 5.0-litre V8. Then there are also two Shelby variants called GT350 and GT350R. Both variants are powered by a specially developed 526 hp 5.2-litre flat plane crank V8 petrol engine.

    The India-spec model Ford Mustang will be powered by 5.0-litre Ti-VCT naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine that can produce 435 bhp of power and 542 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Also the engine features larger intake and exhaust valves, revised intake and exhaust camshafts among a myriad of aspects that promise maximum power generation.

    Ford Mustang India features highlight:

    The Ford Mustang carries the classic original design and silhouettes and features include a trapezoidal grille with signature galloping horse, a long hood and aggressive LED headlamps at the front end. This pony rides on large 18-inch Magnetic Gloss paint machined aluminum alloy wheels.

    Other design highlights include a shortened rear deck, tri-bar tail lamps with LED elements, wider rear fenders rear diffuser, dual-zone HVAC system, launch control, electronic line-lock, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, adaptive cruise control, drive mode selector, rain-sensing wipers, dual front airbags with additional curtain and knee-bags, and many more.
