Ford India is planning to launch a total of 8 cars by the year 2015, the first of which, 2011 Ford Fiesta hit the Indian market on July 14, 2011. The next car to be launched by the company is going to be the Ford Focus sedan, which will be unveiled at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The car will be offered in both petrol and diesel since the company is determined to expand its diesel car range in India.
The car will be available with a 1.6-liter turbocharged eco-boost petrol engine and a 2-liter diesel engine alternately. Both manual and automatic six-speed transmissions will be provided along with numerous features, some of which are also available with the 2011 Ford Fiesta such as Active Parking Assist, Rear View Camera and Adaptive Cruise Control. The car will compete with the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, the Honda Civic, the new Volkswagen Jetta and the Renault Fluence.
