Ford India, the Indian subsidiary of the American automobile manufacturer Ford has posted a growth of 48.23 percent in its sales for the month of July 2013. The carmaker recorded total sales of 12,338 units in the month in comparison to 8,323 units sold in July 2012.

The automaker received 30,000 bookings for the new EcoSport compact SUV within the first 17 days of its launch in June 2013. The carmaker also started exports of the new car model to foreign car markets such as South Africa, Aruba and Mexico.
