Fiat India, the Indian arm of the Italian automobile major Fiat has opened a new 4,000 square feet showroom in Noida. The new facility is located in Sector 18 Noida and is part of the carmaker’s solo foray into the Indian car industry. The automaker targets 100 exclusive Fiat dealerships in India by the end of 2013 out of which 70 dealerships are expected to be operational by March 2013.
Commenting on the inauguration of the new showroom, Mr. Enrico Atanasio Managing Director Fiat India stated that Noida is a strategic market for the company and offers great potential to increase its presence in the Indian car market.
Apart from setting up and expansion of its exclusive dealership network, Fiat India also plans to launch new upgraded versions of the Punto hatchback and the Linea mid-size sedan. It is also planning to introduce the global brand Jeep with the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler in the second half of 2013.
