Ferrari is thinking on the lines of conducting owner training programmes along with a challenger series in India at Buddh International Circuit.

The car maker made its debut in India early in 2011 with the appointment of the Shreyans Group as official importer. Ferrari’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Amedeo Felisa commented, “The idea is why not have our challenger series (a racing competition) and have customer training programmes now that there is a world-class track here in India.”

Mr. Felisa also added the company was confident the popularity of Ferrari will increase in India because of the Indian Ferrari fans coupled with the Formula One race having being held in India.

According to Mr. Ashish Chordia, Shreyans Group Chairman, the company might finalize modalities for challenger series and customer training programmes in India by the first quarter of 2012.
