After the Maruti 800 model the Maruti Suzuki India has officially discontinued the another two hatchback segment models Maruti A-Star and Maruti Estilo due to low demand and slow sales. The Maruti Suzuki is already planned to stop these models for the Indian market but they are waiting to launch the replacement model Celerio, and the final decision made after the Maruti Celerio popularity.
The Maruti Celerio has been very popular since its launch on 06th Feb at Auto Expo 2014. The company received 14,000 booking in just two weeks, it mean 1000 booking every day.
These A-Star and Estilo model never managed to company sales hike, even the addition of an automatic transmission in A-Star and CNG option in Estilo. So company not only the discontinued these models but also assured the A-Star or Estilo are not in its future new refreshed model plan list near future.
