    BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe launched in India

    After launch the upgraded version of BMW M5 this week, now company launched the BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe in India at priced Rs. 1.19 crore and 1.21 crore respectively, ex-showroom. These vehicles are also will be imported as CBUs (completely built units) in India. However BMW India did not confirm the availability of the latter at launch.

    BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe technical:

    Except the body style the both vehicles are powered by the same 3.0-litre, 2,979cc 6-cylinder straight petrol engine with M twin-power turbo that producing 431 PS of power at 5,500-7,300 rpm and 550Nm of torque between 1,850-5,500 rpm with 10.75 kmpl of certified fuel economy. The vehicle can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. Top whack is restricted to 250kmph or 280kmph if the M Driver Package is specified. The 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and active suspension is offered as standard with these vehicles.

    The M3 sedan and M4 coupe are lighter than before too, all attributed to the increased use of lightweight materials such as carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminium for a number of chassis and body components. The next generation M-Twins engine is now 25 per cent more fuel efficient as well as prone to lower CO2 emissions, inspite of increased power and torque figures than the predecessor.
