Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi is planning to integrate the backend synergies of its parent company Volkswagen. The carmaker expects to expand the group synergy with the aim of achieving better cost efficiencies.

In terms of synergies, the German luxury automaker is looking to share parts and logistics to gain cost efficiency as the group brands such as Volkswagen, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini share global product platforms.

Audi currently employs the Aurangabad facility of sister brand Skoda for the contract manufacturing of its car products, producing more than 9,000 annually.

The carmaker’s plans for group synergies are in line with its ongoing expansion of local assembly with the upcoming A3 sedan. The luxury auto manufacturer already assembles the Audi Q7 crossover SUV, the A4 sedan, the A6 sedan, Q5 SUV and Q3 compact crossover.
