    Toyota India launches limited editions of Etios, Corolla Altis and Fortuner

    Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker Toyota has launched limited editions of the Etios mid-size sedan, the Corolla Altis premium sedan and the Fortuner sports utility vehicle on October 15, 2012. The new limited editions have been named as the Etios TRD Sportivo, the Corolla Altis Sportivo and the Fortuner TRD Sportivo.

    The Japanese car manufacturer expects the new launches to encourage economic activity in the Indian car market and help boost sales during the upcoming festival season in the months of October and November 2012.

    The new Etios TRD Sportivo of which only 1,200 exclusive units will be sold till December 2012 has been priced at Rs 6,25,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol version and Rs 7,31,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the diesel version. The Corolla Altis limited edition petrol version and diesel version have been priced at Rs 11,52,000 and Rs 12,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively and will sell 500 units till December 2012.

    The company will sell 600 units of the SUV Fortuner limited edition till December 2012. The SUV will be available with the option of both 4×2 manual and automatic transmission at a price of Rs 21,67,000 and Rs 22,60,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
