    Honda India launches DreamYuga, plans to double its motorbike share by 2020

    Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company is targeting to double its share of motorcycles sales in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company is banking on competitive strategy and low cost products to boost sales and grab a larger piece of the Indian two-wheeler industry.

    In line with its strategy, the company has launched the low cost 110 cc motorcycle DreamYuga in India on May 15, 2012. With a low pricing model, the company intends to make a dent in the market share of competitor motorbike manufacturers.

    The company also wants to cash in on the 14 growth in the Indian motorcycle segment with sales of 10,00,000 units in the fiscal 2011-12.
