Hyundai will launch the Hyundai Elantra in Nepal by January 2012. Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country will launch both the Hyundai Eon and the Elantra in January 2012.
The Elantra in Nepal will cost more than the Hyundai Accent but less than the Hyundai Sonata. Mr. Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, Senior Manager for Planning & Development at Laxmi Intercontinental, commented, “We haven’t yet finalized the number of variants we are introducing and the price but it will be in between Rs 35,00,000 and Rs 40,00,000.”
Hyundai has reworked on the fifth generation Elantra’s styling, power output and other features and according to Mr. Bhatta, the new Hyundai which has a sportier look and offers class-leading performance also boasts of all-new six-speed automatic transmission.
