Volkswagen has achieved 60 years of operations in Samba country, otherwise known as Brazil. The German car makers have also roped in a football legend that is well known throughout the world and loved by almost everybody. The name Pele is one that has been celebrated for decades now, and people from all walks of life can associate themselves with the name, because it is the greatest name in the world of sports.
Leading up to next year’s football World Cup and which will be held in Brazil, Pele will be the brand ambassador for Volkswagen. The first campaign will see Pele and other famous Brazilian football legends. The campaign will represent how Pele was around during Volkswagen first days in Brazil, and will lead up all the way to Neymar who is the newest sensation of Brazilian football and who represents the new era of Volkswagen in the country. The campaign will run up all the way to 2016 as the country will also host the Olympics at that time.
