The Maini Group, promoters and pioneers of India’s first electric car Reva, have announced the launch of TOMCAR in India. The TOMCAR is a military grade, high-performance all terrain vehicle originally designed for military and border patrol use. It is virtually an indestructible vehicle, built to go “ANYWHERE AND BACK”. The announcement was made during the DEFEXPO 2012 held in New Delhi. Maini Group acquired a majority stake in TOMCAR, a company based in Israel which is engaged in the design and manufacture of high performance off road vehicles. TOMCAR all-terrain vehicles feature a strong, fully-welded steel tube chassis and heavy duty four-wheel independent suspension. These vehicles are designed to be safe, rugged and extremely dependable. The Maini Group has created a manufacturing facility in Bangalore to cater for both domestic and overseas customers.  So if you’re looking to get your hands on a top-class adventure vehicle the TomCar would very well be what you need.

Looks good. Will the civilian version be open, or soft roof and Canvas/ Plastic doors? hope they have 3 point seat belts, and decent ground clearance.

Mahindra Maxximo is also awesome. It offers great mileage and has an advanced engine. I was looking at some Mahindra Maxximo pictures and it looks like a great all terrain vehicle.
