Ford India is hitting the Indian market in 2012 really hard. Slated for an Indian release is the all new Ford Endeavour that is said to be bigger and look better than the current model. However, that’s not just it. The price will be raised by around Rs 5 lakh, and that is saying a lot. Another interesting vehicle will be the Ford EcoSport, a compact SUV for the Indian market. What Ford really needs to do is price the EcoSport well, and make sure they don’t market it as an MPV in the yeti segment. We all know when it comes to India an SUV needs to be big and carry its people, compact SUVs wont do well as we have already seen from the Skoda example with the Yeti – there was too much hype but not much to offer. On the other hand Ford is having a good year and are expected to have an even better year in 2012. So head down to the Delhi Auto Expo in 2012 and check out which Ford’s are coming your way – and make sure you ask for how much.
