Renault Trucks offered members of the public a unique experience on the Place Bellcourt in Lyon to enter into the world’s largest work of 3D street art. This performance, which consists of playing with perspective and creating images which only become three-dimensional in specific locations, has entered the Guinness Book of Records. It was an opportunity to celebrate with the people of Lyon after the launch of the manufacturer’s new range of vehicles.

The residents of Lyon were able to admire the display set up by Renault Trucks and artist François Abélanet. This consisted of four gigantic examples of three-dimensional street art created and installed on the largest square in the city. The principle behind this work of art is to play with perspectives so that they can make images in three dimensions appear when they are viewed from a specific point. One of these works covered a surface area of 4,071 m², enabling Renault Trucks to enter the Guinness Book of Records with “the largest anamorphosis in the world”. The certificate was presented to Bruno Blin, Renault Trucks’ President, on Saturday 6 July in Lyon.

“We are very proud to have presented this work of art to the many visitors who came to see it during the weekend. Renault Trucks is a company that was born in Lyon, is still active here and the people of Lyon should be proud of the manufacturing carried out in their city. We wanted the general public to have the opportunity of discovering this new range of vehicles and to learn about it in an original and unusual way,” said Bruno Blin, the President of Renault Trucks.

The new range of Renault Trucks vehicles were revealed in Lyon on 11 June.
