The Tata Motors has launched its most awaited hatchback Tata Bolt in India at Rs. 4.45 lakhs, ex-Showroom in Delhi, a value for money product. The car is based on Vista platform and comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol Bolt is powered by Revotron 1.2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder MPFi engine which producing 90PS of power @ 5,000rpm and 140Nm of torque between 1,500-4,000rpm while the diesel Bolt has 1.3-liter FIAT-sourced Quadrajet engine that generates 75PS of power @ 4,000rpm and 190Nm of torque between 1,750-3,000rpm. Currently the both engines have a 5-speed manual transmission, but the AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) might be available soon.
The car is available in four variants in petrol and four variants in diesel engines: XE, XM, XMS and XT.
The main highlight of the Tata Bolt is its best-in-class Revotron turbo-charged petrol engine with the first time ever MULTI-DRIVE system: SPORT, ECO and CITY and also it has a better ECU tuning for the engine, which will make it a much smoother car than the Zest.
