Mercedes-Benz India has rolled out its officially manufactured new 2015 Mercedes C-Class diesel C 220 CDI in India at priced Rs. 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This diesel variant was launched in February this year for the Indian market but it was as a CBU (Completely built unit) route. Previously the petrol version of C-Class C200 was manufactured locally and now C200 CDI diesel also joins this assembly. Now the both C200 petrol and C220 CDI diesel assembled at the Chakan, Pune plant.

2015 Mercedes C-Class diesel C 220 CDI technical details:
The C220 CDI is powered by the 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 170 bhp of power between 3,000 -4,200 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,400-2,800 rpm, integrated with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100Km/h in just 7.4 seconds and top-speed of 233Km/h. With a mileage of 19.27Km/l, company claimed it to be the most fuel-efficient car in its segment.
