Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi has launched the new Audi RS 5 Coupe car model in the Indian market at a price of about Rs 1 crore. The car features a top speed of 250 kilometers per liter and can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.
The new car model was introduced by Mr. Michael Perschke Head Audi India along with Mr. Aditya Patel Audi Race talent.
The new Audi coupe model features a 4.2 FSI engine with displacement of 4163cc. According to Mr. Perschke, the new car launch will allow the carmaker to expand its presence in the India luxury car segment along with other performance car launches in India such as the Audi R8 V10. The luxury automaker is currently the market leader in the segment and wants to further consolidate its position.
The carmaker is also looking to expand its dealership network to 34 centers from the current 26 centers by the end of 2013.
