Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will be re-opening the bookings for its global SUV XUV500 launched in September 2011 from June 8, 2012. The company has been opening the bookings for the new SUV in slots of 10 days with a gap of 4 months since its launch in order to keep up with the demand for the car.
The SUV will be available across all Indian cities in contrast to the last booking session where only 19 cities offered the booking options.The production of the XUV500 has been ramped up to 4,000 units monthly and is expected to enable the company to meet the demand for the SUV.
According to Mr. Pravin Shah Chief Executive Automotive Division Mahindra & Mahindra, the company is expecting the increase in the production of the SUV to help keep up with the demand for the car model in the all-India bookings.
