Skoda Auto India on August 31, 2011, launched the petrol version of its mid-level premium sedan Laura RS. The car is priced at Rs. 15,99,069 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).
The Skoda Laura RS launched in India is a souped up version of the Laura TSi petrol variant. The car has a 160 Bhp-250 Nm 1.8 Liter TSi engine mated to a six speed manual transmission. The engine churns out 158 Bhp peak power output and 250 Nm of peak torque. The car has a full body kit replete and boasts of new cosmetic changes such as new bumpers, both at the front and the rear. New additions to the car include vRS badging on its front grille, new fog lamps and daylight running lamps. The car also now sports new 16 inch alloy wheels with 10 spokes. As for its interiors Skoda Laura RS has opted for an all-black theme in sync with the sporty character of the car along with Black leatherette seats and leather wrapped steering wheel. The metal accelerator, brake and clutch pedals add to the sporty look of the car. The car has manual AC controls instead of automatic. Safety features include ABS, Traction Control, Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), tyre pressure monitor and Electronic Differential Locking (EDL).
