Land Rover India has officially launched the new 2015 Discovery Sport in the Indian market at a starting price Rs. 46.10 lacs (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The company has already started bookings for Discovery Sport at a token amount of Rs. 5 lacs and also announced that it has registered over 200 bookings even before the launch.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport is available in four variant options – S, SE, HSE and HSE Luxury. The vehicle comes with a new design approach and excellent engineering, dynamic profile and interior space of 5+2 seating. It will compete against the BMW X 3, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 models in India.

The Discovery Sport is powered by 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TD4 & SD4 diesel engine that develops a power output of 148bhp at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque while the SD4 top end variant has 188bhp of power at 3,500rpm and 420Nm of maximum torque at 1,750rpm. The both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and full-time AWD system with a Terrain Response as standard feature. It measures 4,600 mm in length, 2,173 mm in width, 1,724 mm in height and 2,741 mm in wheelbase.
